Privacy Policy

CalmRoom (“we”, “us”) is run by CalmRoom.co.uk, based in the UK. This policy explains what personal information we collect and how we use it. If you have any questions, please get in touch through our Contact page or at admin@calmroom.co.uk.

What we collect.

Contact form: your name, email address and message, so we can reply to you.

Newsletter: your email address, if you sign up, so we can send you occasional updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.

Website usage: our website platform, Squarespace, collects basic anonymous visitor statistics (such as pages viewed and device type) and uses cookies to make the site work. Non-essential cookies are only used if you accept them in the cookie banner.

Donations: if you use “Buy me a coffee”, that payment is handled by Paypal.co.uk under their own privacy policy. We never see your card details.

Why we use it.

We reply to messages because we have a legitimate interest in responding to you. We only send the newsletter, and only use non-essential cookies, with your consent.

Who we share it with.

We don’t sell your data. It’s stored by the services that run this site: Squarespace (website, forms, [newsletter]) and Paypal.co.uk for Buy Me a Coffee (donations). Some of these services may process data outside the UK, with appropriate safeguards in place.

How long we keep it.

We keep messages for as long as we need to deal with your enquiry. We keep newsletter details until you unsubscribe.

Your rights.

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Contact us and we’ll respond within one month. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
